I just got Autotune 7 and it looks like I wont be using it on anything. It appears that this version is effecting the sound ALL THE TIME, unlike all of the previous versions. If you put the plug in on a vocal track in graphic mode with no tuning of any kind and record the audio onto another track. The newly recorded track does not null with the original. Every other version of autotune was able to do this. So basically if you have the plug on a track, the sections that aren't being tuned are un touched sonically. With Autotune 7 everything has that slightly fuzzy/flangey high end all the time. I was willing to accept it on the things that were being tuned, but having my entire vocal sound like that all the time is not ok.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone else care?
